Graduates in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) continue to be in big demand among start-up companies in Ireland, and Enterprise Ireland has announced that 445 jobs are to be created in 24 new start-ups across the country.
The companies are all export-oriented and operate in rapidly growing sectors, including:
- Clean technology
- Life sciences
- Financial services
- Information and communications technology
The jobs will be created over the next two to three years as part of Enterprise Ireland’s High Potential Start-Up programme. Almost 200 of the positions will be in Dublin-based start-ups, and the rest will be in counties Clare, Wicklow, Waterford, Offaly, Cork and Kildare.
