The My Science Career website brings together resources for finding out more about a career in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
It is an initiative of Ireland’s national integrated awareness programme Discover Science & Engineering (DSE). DSE initiatives are managed by Forfás on behalf of the Office of Science and Technology at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
Our website includes articles, a science career glossary, and video interviews with scientists about their work and what they studied at school and college.
The DSE’s Science Ambassador initiative aims to inform young people about what it’s like working in various fields of science, and shows how a qualification in these areas is a launching pad to an exciting and varied career.
The Science Ambassadors are an informal community of newly qualified and more established scientists who love their work and want to help others learn about it.
